The Tulip Girl

I love to gift friends paintings for birthdays, holidays, etc. This painting was for my friend, Kenzie, who loves all things flowers… Hence, The Tulip Girl. Ever since I painted this, I imagined it as a cover for a sketchbook or journal. In the watercolor, the girl is at peace, living in her flower, smelling the fresh air and tulips of the springtime - a space I wish I could be in all the time. What a nice space to be in as you write down your thoughts or sketch out an idea.

I also couldn’t decide on which cover I liked best. The full bleed or the dark green border so I thought, what the heck, it could be a set!
