Through the Looking Glass

I had a moment one week, where I felt the need to paint but didn’t know what. Picture me, sitting at my apartment island, drinking wine out of my pastel green glass and admiring the flowers in front of me… Voila! It’s all right in front of me.

Through the Looking Glass is an ode to surrealism and mirrors. Literally, the blue background looks like a mirror and the hand appears to be coming from it. Metaphorically, you can see your reflection in the liquid - in this case wine - as you sip from the glass which sometimes can lead to thoughts about oneself and life in general.
