3M™ Community Giving 5K

“Do Good. Improve Lives.” The 8th annual event was sponsored by 3M’s Health Care Business Group, Engineering, Corporate Research, and BT/IT. The proceeds of this event went to Greater Twin Cities United Way and has raised over $45,000 since it began. Bringing it to life was an honor.

My idea for this was a not-so-subtle “aha” moment where within the illustrated fall leaves I left a runner figure of negative space. For the communication and posters, the color reflected a bright/fall palette and for the 5K shirts it was a one-color print, either white or black. The above poster was up in our design center to recruit my fellow teammates to join in. We were given the opportunity to add 3M’s Scotchlite™ Reflective Material to the letters.

The mug above was given to the winning team who participated and had the biggest turn out. I was also given one for my part in making the event happen! I enjoy drinking multiple cups of coffee from it.

Here are photos of the divisions supporting their chosen colors.
